Melde's Apparatus - code: 4315.35
A simple experiment to study standing waves on a string. The Melde’s Apparatus is a simple way to introduce students to the concept of standing waves. The apparatus consists of a string and an oscillator to generate different frequencies. Melde’s experiment is ideal to study the behaviour of standing waves. You can even visually determine wavelength, period and amplitude of waves.
